San Francisco, CA (Rainmaker Public Relations) - Revolutionary e-label, Magnatune, continues to manufacture innovation as they invite customers to "fill their iPods." The new campaign from the world's fastest growing and most creative e-label, offers to save their customers thousands, with a package that includes 400 albums, 40 GB of music, for only $200. Magnatune's iPod campaign is another step in their ongoing quest to restore control of the music industry to the fans and artists who created it.

"iPod owners envisioned themselves having a lot more music once they left the CD world," Buckman explains, "but it costs thousands to fill a 40 GB I-Pod. Even the tiny, 1 GB iPod Nano would cost an honest user $1000 to fill with iTunes" Buckman plans to offer his customers a better way to build their music collection. With 400 albums for 200 dollars, Magnatune will sell quality music at a price that iTunes can't touch, and give the profit to the artist, not the industry. Magnatune's will also use the MP3 "VBR" format, with twice the sound quality of iTunes files, giving their customer a more sonically satisfying "bang" for the buck.

As another dimension to their "fill your iPod" campaign, Magnatune will offer customers the opportunity to downlaod directly from Magnatune's podcast show series, featuring genre-specific collections from their growing library of artists. Magnatune's podcasts are designed to provide an option to antiquated mainstream radio by allowing listeners direct access to underground music, complete with a DJ but free from fluff. In addition to downloadable shows, Magnatune will begin podcasting new collections from their library and will allow podcasters to use their music at no cost (and with no ASCAP/BMI license).

Currently, Magnatune sells over 1500 albums a month at an average price of 8.21 an album. Sales have doubled in the last half year, largely because Magnatune continues to work with their customers to improve on their business model. In addition to allowing podcasters to freely use their music, they encourage their customers to share what they buy with three free copies of every album they purchase. Magnatune also offers customers the opportunity to get involved by setting the price of the music they purchase and by handing out referral cards to spread the word.

Magnatune is as much a movement as it is a business and they have quickly become the most customer friendly music store anywhere. With their refreshing philosophy and a commitment to improve the record industry, Magnatune is a name that every music fan should get to know.
