New York, NY (Top40 Charts) With the month of September being Suicide Prevention Month, Slovakian native and award winning female singing artist Dominika Stara has been passionately involved with many young adults over the years as an advocate to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and is now donating her time and talents to the cause.
"'So Much To Live For" was specifically written to provide encouragement to those who suffer, and raise awareness for the foundation which is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide." Stara states. "Dominika is as genuine as they come," states manager and founder of Poncini Entertainment Raymond Pouncey. "Her fans are more like friends to her and she particularly is interested in their long term well being."
Stara's compassion for a distraught fan that reached out to her inspired Stara to become an advocate for The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (aka AFSP) and is dedicated to bringing awareness to the cause, which is the largest organization of its kind. Stara has held speaking engagements at various New England schools to help young people understand the positive results of education and pursuing their dreams.
Stara is an international pop singing star who came to the US after placing 3rd in the program Czechoslovakian Superstar (their version of the "Idol" franchise), reaching the highest level for a female performer and later signed an exclusive mgmt/production deal with Poncini Entertainment. Stara's debut album titled "Mixed Signals" contained the smash single "Thinking of You" which earned her Best International Singer honors at the New England Urban Music Awards. She is currently in the studio recording the tracks for the upcoming album "My Time To Shine" to be released the first quarter of 2017, and will performing at various AFSP sponsored walks throughout the month of October.
