Rafael & Energia Dominicana Presents Debut Album: Enamorarse En La Playa

LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Vivo Musique Internationale) The Québécois-Dominican merenguero, bachatero Rafael and his Montreal based Latin music orchestra Rafael & Energía Dominicana, will release their debut album, Enamorarse en la playa, on November 19, 2013.

Enamorarse en la playa includes thirteen original compositions by Rafael, from different Latin music genres such as merengue, bachata, salsa, and ballad. The album is produced by Rafael, Pascal Laraque and Francisco 'Kuky' Carbuccia with Chris Perry in Montreal, Quebec.

Rafael (Wilsikin Esteban Medina) is a Montreal based, Latin music singer-songwriter and bandleader originally from Bani, Dominican Republic. He launched a solo career at the end of 2008 with his nine piece orchestra Rafael & Energía Dominicana. Without a recording available in the marketplace, the group has performed at some of Canada's most prestigious festivals and events that include Festival International Nuits d'Afrique (3 years consecutive), Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad-Paralympics in Whistler B.C., and Festival International Rythmes du monde du Saguenay (2 years). Rafael also does volunteer activities with Montreal's Sun Youth Organisation/Jeunesse au soleil, Heritage Home Rehabilitation and the Canadian Cancer Society.

Enamorarse en la playa will be released by Montreal record label Vivo Musique, and distributed by DEP Distribution Ltd./Universal Music Canada/Believe Digital-Numérique.
