Music (MIM), with the release of his original soundtrack recording for the CBS motion picture, The Mechanic, starring Jason Statham.
Mark Isham's score for The Mechanic is a hard-hitting action score suffused with the iconic melodies that have become the trademark sonic signature of Mr. Isham's work. The tracks move effortlessly from "face blasting energy" to deeply emotional nuanced soundscapes. The result is a superb blend of modern electronic aggression and a beautiful orchestral palette. Mr. Isham recorded the Prague National Symphony, and recorded in Dvorak Hall in order to capture the full sonic grandeur of the work.
The album will appeal not only to fans of Mr. Isham's work generally, as well as fans of score, but also to the emergent body of listeners who are captivated by the soundscapes that only Mr. Isham so masterfully generates. The Soundtrack to The Mechanic will be released in three configurations:
The Assassin's Edition, which is a specially-curated version that presents the Soundtrack as a wildly engaging listening experience. Isham has constructed the Assassin's Edition to be a stand-alone piece that is as compelling as any contemporary modern symphony. Using a palette of sounds from electric guitar to modern electronics to lush string orchestra, this work reaches beyond the traditional score with a timelessness.
- The Complete Collector's Edition, which presents every cue written for the picture. For the film music enthusiast, The Mechanic Complete Score provides an in-depth experience into the music, track-by-track, in its complete form exactly as it appears in the film.
- The Double Barrel Limited Edition, which bundles both The Complete Collector's Edition and The Assassin's Edition in a specially-designed package, complete with the CDs of each record, a special bonus item signed by Mark, and a specially-branded USB stick that includes the audio as well as rare, behind-the-scenes videos that gives the listener/viewer a view through the keyhole of the process of making this phenomenal release

About Mr. Isham
From his days as one of the pioneering icons of electronic music to his current status as a world-renowned legendary film composer, Mark Isham continues to be one of the most prolific and provocative artists on the scene. His gift for creating unforgettable melodies and his love of fresh, innovative sonic palettes have earned Isham many awards including a Grammy, an Emmy, and a Clio, in addition to multiple Grammy, Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for his material both as a composer and a recording artist.
