LOS ANGELES (Capitol announcement) - Capitol Records and Scout Productions, producers of the mega-fabulous television hit "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," will release the show's official soundtrack on February 10 in two versions: with bonus DVD and with enhanced video.

The first in a series of albums themed to the show, the official "Queer Eye" soundtrack - "What's That Sound" - will be released in a limited edition version that includes a bonus DVD. The DVD contains a the behind-the-scenes "making of the video" special for the show's fantastically catchy theme song, "All Things (Just Keep Getting Better)" by Widelife with Simone Denny, as well as the Wayne Isham-directed video itself, and the music video for Kylie Minogue's new single, "Slow."

The enhanced video version of the soundtrack will contain the video for "All Things (Just Keep Getting Better)."
The song is currently Top 20 on the Billboard dance charts and about to go Top 40 on the mainstream singles chart. The video has been placed in "Large" rotation on VH1.

The "Queer Eye" soundtrack also features:
- the exclusive new Duran Duran song "Sunrise"
- a Chemical Brothers remix of Kylie Minogue's new single "Slow"
- the American debut of Jamelia's smash U.K. hit "Superstar"
- an exclusive mashup that pits Fischerspooner vs. Billy Squier
- the new Basement Jaxx song "Good Luck"
- an exclusive remix of Sting's "Never Coming Home"
- In-Grid's "You Promise Me (Tu Es Foutu)"
- the remix of Elton John's 1977 hit "Are You Ready for Love" and
- Liz Phair's "Extraordinary."

The "Queer Eye" soundtrack will be followed by the "Perfect" series of show-related theme records. The "Queer Eye" music series is a partnership between Capitol Records, Bravo and Scout, the TV, Film and New Media production company that created the show.

In its first season, "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" has tastefully smashed network and cable ratings records and captured the hearts of millions of dedicated viewers. The runaway hit starring "The Fab 5" - Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Felicia, Carson Kressley and Jai Rodriguez is a showcase for the hottest styles and trends in fashion, home design, grooming, food and wine, and culture. Having found a unique niche in which lifestyles clash and everyone finds a common ground, Scout Productions has introduced a new trend in unscripted television, the "Make Better" show.

"The Queer Eye soundtrack represents the next step in the phenomenon that is Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and the evolution for Scout Productions from Television, Film and New Media, into Music with industry leaders Capitol Records and NBC," said Rob Eric, one of the albums Executive Producers and Executive Director of Creative Services, Scout Production.
"As we have been able to introduce better taste and sensibilities in living to prime time television, we will be able to introduce great music to a new audience."
