Boyz II Men will celebrate 20 hit making years with their brand new album Twenty. The double CD album set will contain 10 brand new songs plus 10 newly recorded and updated versions of
Boyz II Men classics, including "End Of The Road," "I'll Make Love To You," and "Bended Knee," amongst others that spawned the birth of one of the most successful singing groups of all time.
As newly announced inductees to receive their star on the world famous "Hollywood Walk Of Fame," Boyz II Men will be releasing their NEW STUDIO ALBUM simply titled "Twenty," which will feature brand new material for the first time in 10 years. Currently in studio, the iconic group have reunited with hit producers Babyface, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Dallas Austin and Tim & Bob. While adding the likes of Teddy Riley, Rob Knox (Justin Timberlake, Joe Jonas), Julian Bunetta, amongst others. Twenty will be released exclusively through Walmart later this fall 2011 on the Boyz own label MSM Music, in partnership with Benchmark Entertainment.
"We started with a pure love for music, so to be here twenty years later still doing what we love has been a pure blessing," comments Wanya Morris of the trio. The group's tenor and judge on hit breakout show NBC's The Sing-Off, Shawn Stockman remarked, "From day one our fans have been amazing, they've seen us grow from boys to men, so we owe all our success to their continued support," while Nathan Morris commented, "No matter how many albums we have done throughout the years we always strive to put out the best sounding music possible. We are excited to be in the studio again with the guys who have been a part of some of our biggest hits to date, it's a really good feeling."
Selling over 60 million albums worldwide and winning every award from Grammy's to American Music Awards across the globe, Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris, and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men, have broken numerous records in their 20 years, making them one of the biggest pop groups of all time. Cited as influences to some of the most successful artists of all time, from N*SYNC to Beyonce, Usher to Justin Beiber, the group still holds the number one (One Sweet Day ft. Mariah Carey), three (I'll Make Love To You) and fourth (End Of The Road) spot for most consecutive No 1 records on top of the Billboard Hot 100. The group stands in the company of Elvis Presley, The Beatles and Mariah Carey as the only artists to have stayed so long on top of the music charts.
More recently, the group added to their mark on pop culture, by leaving their indelible mark on some of Motown's most timeless hits. Boyz II Men earned rave reviews with their 2007 Decca label debut, Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA (Decca/Universal). The record earned them two Grammy nominations for their rendition of classic Detroit soul Motown hits. The group then followed up with another timeless album in 2009, named Love covering songs made famous by Bonnie Raitt, Journey, Sam Cooke, Cyndi Lauper and The Beatles.
