New York, NY (Top40 Charts) DJ Shadow has debuted a video for the song "Three Ralphs," from his 'The Mountain Will Fall' release on Mass Appeal Records. It's a haunted, strobing animation set to Shadow's dark, glitchy soundscape of minimalist beats. It was created by the artist Ruffmercy, who has worked with Earl Sweatshirt, Run The Jewels, Danny Brown, Dilla and Nas, and beyond. The album, Shadow's first in four years, finds the pioneering DJ and producer exploring new realms of composition. It debuted at #1 on iTunes' electronic chart in 16 countries and became Shadow's first #1 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic chart in the US.

"'Three Ralphs' was built around an odd shout-out I found on an old rap tape...I have no idea who the three Ralphs were, but it inspired the unusual arrangement. I like when songs take an unexpected turn, and I like the concept of songs-within-songs. It's something that I feel separates my stuff from the usual 'intro-build-drop-build-drop-outro' formula of a lot of beat-scene instrumentals." - DJ Shadow

DJ Shadow has been relentlessly touring in support of 'The Mountain Will Fall' this year. He recently concluded a sold-out US tour as covered by the New Yorker, Brooklyn Vegan and beyond, with plenty of European festival stops along the way including Pitchfork Paris, Club to Club in Turin and The Warehouse Project in Manchester. He plans to continue to tour in 2017, stay tuned for updates.

He also recently collaborated with Ice Cube on an original track called "Nobody Wants To Die" that is featured in-game and in the trailer for 2K's 'Mafia III.'

Raves for 'The Mountain Will Fall':
"He continues to produce challenging work and refuses to repeat himself…mixing thumping, old school hip hop tracks with atmospheric instrumentals that skitter and slither in the shadows" - Chicago Tribune

"Impressive in its inventiveness" - The Guardian
"Rolling and meditative" - Vice Noisey
"Brassy and bruising" - Rolling Stone
"An album that bridges eras to envision what the future may hold" - Boston Globe
"This is DJ Shadow's best work since his early-aughts heyday. Whatever difficult terrain he had to scale to wrangle this mountain was worth the trip, and suggests even greater ascents in the future" - Top40 Charts
