London, UK. (Goldfrapp Official Website) - To top off a spectacular year in the United States which has included performances on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' and 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,' sold-out shows in New York and Los Angeles, various high-profile syncs for films and TV shows ('The Sopranos,' 'Nip/Tuck,' 'Miami Vice,' etc) and the release of their critically acclaimed album Supernature (Mute), Britain's hottest duo GOLDFRAPP are up for two of America's most distinguished music awards. GOLDFRAPP-who are Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory-have been nominated for GRAMMYs in the 'Best Electronic/Dance Album' category for Supernature and 'Best Dance Recording' for 'Ooh La La,' which appears on the album.

Supernature was released March 7, 2006 with Rolling Stone initially noting-"Glam rock hooks, luscious synths…a smoking-hot singer? We're in love!" ("Hot List,' 12/29/05)-before its writer Lauren Gitlin praised the album in a review that said, "Toxic and delicious, Supernature will make you do bad things-and like it' (3/6/06). Blender hailed it as a four-star album (April 2006), Time placed it on the '5 Great Albums' page (3/27/06) and Time Out New York was so smitten with the album, it placed Alison Goldfrapp on its cover (3/8/06). The album's current single 'Fly Me Away'-which trails 'Ooh La La' and Goldfrapp's other smashes 'Number 1' and 'Ride A White Horse'-is featured in major retail chain Target's massive holiday ad campaign.

'Ooh La La,' an irresistible mix of glam rock, pop and electronica, hit No 1 on Billboard's 'Hot Dance Club Play' chart (April 17) and was the iTunes Single Of the Week (February 21). It's also been featured in Diet Coke and AllTel Wireless television ad campaigns as well as for ABC's 'Desperate Housewives' and 'So You Think You Can Dance?' Playboy tapped the song as a hot track for 2006 in their December issue, while the video has been nominated for 'Best of 2006' on 'MTV2 Subterranean.'
