NEW YORK (Capitol Records) - NOW That's What I Call Music! Vol. 17 and NOW DVD 2 - Best Videos Of 2004! are set for release on November 2nd, as the series - the most consistent multi-platinum-selling music brand today - hits a major milestone, with more than 50 million units shipped in the U.S.

NOW That's What I Call Music! Vol. 17, the latest volume in the world's best-selling multi-artist album series, features 20 smash hits from the R&B, Pop and Modern Rock charts including "My Place," by Nelly featuring Jaheim, Beastie Boys' "Ch-Check It Out," "Goodies" by Ciara featuring Petey Pablo, Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out," "Lean Back" by Terror Squad featuring Fat Joe & Remy and "Days Go By " from Keith Urban.
This remarkable compilation includes 12 tracks in the Top 40 of The Billboard Hot 100, 11 tracks in the Top 30 and seven tracks in the Top 10.

And, in what is becoming an annual tradition for the series, NOW! presents the 15 top videos of 2004 in an exclusive DVD collection. NOW DVD 2 features the hottest music videos of the year, including Hoobastank's "The Reason," "Heaven" from Los Lonely Boys, "Holidae In" from Chingy featuring Ludacris and Snoop Dogg, blink-182's "Feeling This" and "Sunrise" from Norah Jones. Several of the videos - seen on MTV, BET and other broadcast outlets - are being released commercially for the first time on NOW DVD 2.
Promotional efforts for NOW 17 and the NOW DVD 2 have kicked off with an extensive direct response TV campaign. Complete track listings for each follow below.

Both NOW! Christmas-themed titles, 2001's NOW That's What I Call Christmas! and 2003's NOW That's What I Call Christmas! The Signature Collection, are being re-marketed this holiday season via TV and retail campaigns. Each of these 2-CD collections has already reached Platinum status.

NOW That's What I Call Music! is a highly successful ongoing cooperative project featuring music from EMI Music, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and the Zomba Group of labels.
NOW 17 will be released on Capitol Records, a division of EMI Music. The series debuted in the United States in 1998 after the NOW! brand enjoyed enormous, multi-platinum international success for nearly 20 years, with some 58 volumes featuring pop hits released in the UK alone.
To date, the NOW! series has generated sales of 138 million albums worldwide, and with the latest edition, has shipped over 50 million units in the United States since its debut. Every album in the NOW! series has reached the Billboard Top 10 and five have debuted at No 1 on the Billboard Top 200, making NOW! the only non-soundtrack, multi-artist collection to occupy the top spot on this distinguished album sales chart.
