New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Eric
Silver Music) - Nashville multi-instrumentalist Eric
Silver has toured and/or recorded with a range of artists, from country stars The Dixie
Chicks and Shania Twain, to jazzers
David Grisman and Victor Wooten, as well as pop legends
Cyndi Lauper and Donna Summer. His playing can be heard on recordings from the likes of
Keith Urban and Twain.
Silver played mandolin on her 20-million-selling Come On Over album, including the smash single "You're the One." He has written hits for artists like The Dixie Chicks, Diamond Rio, Michelle Wright and Australian Idol runner-up Shannon Noll. In the past several years,
Silver has done the near impossible, developing a second career as a hit artist and songwriter in Brazil.
As Eric Silver prepares to release his latest single and video in the Brazilian market, he continues to tackle new projects in both Brazil and Music City.
In collaboration with famed Brazilian producer/A&R executive Rick Bonadio, Silver has had some 60 cuts with various Brazilian artists. Since 2007, Silver has been the most recorded American songwriter in Brazil, and artists he has worked with include pop-rock sensations Titas, Fresno and NX Zero, with whom Silver has developed a close collaborative relationship. So vital are his contributions to the million-selling, Latin GRAMMY Award-winning band, that he is often NX Zero's only "outside" player. The band's lead singer, Diego "Di" Ferrero, guests on Silver's upcoming debut single, "When You're Here." The single and video will be released on Midas Music Brazil (Universal) later this month, and the video is currently being previewed on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhXgFA5JP0U.
Silver states, "When I got the chance to dive in and create my style and artistry in Brazil, I really focused on how to improve my craft - dig deep and make a more unique footprint. I tried to get out of my comfort zone and make my writing much more personal."
Silver started making trips to Brazil many years ago and fell in love with the country. Through his then-publisher, EMI Music, he started making music connections and learning Portuguese, which he now speaks fluently. He started doing sessions there, writing for Brazilian artists and even landed a spot as a judge on a Brazilian American Idol-style television show, which was viewed by up to ten million people per night.
NX Zero recently asked Silver to collaborate as a writer and be a featured vocalist and musician on two songs from their highly anticipated November release, Projeto Paralelo. Silver is also currently producing Canadian act Ryan Laird, and has recent cuts with Nashville's Anthony Smith and Australian rocker Wes Carr.
Silver credits Bonadio for believing in his talents and always giving him unique opportunities to shine. These tasks have ranged from writing and recording string arrangements for NX Zero, to writing for and co-producing Brazilian rapper Tulio Dek. Bonadio says, "Eric is a rare talent who creates great music for many kinds of people. Here, the young audience already loves his work with NX Zero. The more mature listeners will love him because of his unique and emotional vocals.
There's a lot of excitement about his single here in Brazil, as it will be his first official solo release."
