Port Saint Lucie, Florida (Top40 Charts/ Nene Musik Productions) She is Beautiful. She sounds like an angel. She sings in three different languages. She is Mia Martina.
Mia's accordion-inflected Platinum remix of "
Stereo Love", Gold selling follow-up "
Latin Moon" and Gold selling "
Burning" makes
Mia Martina is one of today's hot commodities in the EDM / Pop Scene. Born and raised in St. Ignace, New Brunswick, a tiny French speaking village of Acadian roots on the east coast of Canada, population approximately five hundred. Martina began singing while still knee-high and spent her childhood being driven back and forth to the closest "city," Moncton, for music and voice lessons. After high school, Martina headed off to Ottawa for university where the teenager happened upon an ad for an internship at a local label, CP Records, which was making a name for itself with Canadian artists
Massari and hard-edged rapper Belly.
In 2010, Dance music's biggest record label, Ultra Records, was looking to remix a Euro hit by
Edward Maya called "Stereo Love." They contacted CP Records and within a couple weeks
Mia Martina recorded and released the song with Ultra. The rest is history. "I was contacted by our good friend Phil Nieves who is head of radio promotions at Ultra. Once I heard the record, I knew it was a smash. I think we must have booked over 100 shows in 2010 and about 200 shows in 2011. We look forward to great things in 2013" says
Ruben Martinez (Chairman & CEO of Nene Musik).
Mia Martina is also represented by S.L. Feldman & Associates in Canada.
"
Stereo Love" went top ten on the Canadian pop charts, was nominated for a Juno Award (Canadian equivalent of the Grammy's) and a MuchMusic Video Award for "most watched video" as well as Top 10 Pop record on the Billboard Charts. Along with a remix duet with Latin/Tropical superstar; Don Omar.
The trilingual singer followed with "
Latin Moon". The song became such a success in Canada that Mia Decided to do both a French and Spanish version of the song for its perspective markets. Mia's debut album "
Devotion", released in Canada, in August has created such a buzz that even countries such as Japan, Germany, France, Romania, Poland, Austria, Turkey, Greece have licensed the album.
