New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, PL & Wheelie, Maison Barclay Canada's newest artistic duo, shared a brand new single, "WOOPA" out today. They also shared the official music video for the mind-bending track, which arrives just in time for Halloween.

"WOOPA," the second single from popular actor Pierre-Luc Lafontaine and producer Wheelie, the duo behind PL & Wheelie, is a whirlwind of a track; with PL delivering rapid fire lyrics packed with pop culture references as he interchanges seamlessly from French to English resulting in a fascinatingly unique fusion of rap québ, rapid-fire comedy bits and production reminiscent of 90s hip-hop and industrial alt music. The single follows PL & Wheelie's debut track, "Barbe à Papa," that was met with excitement and praise from critics and fans alike.

With its black and white eerie vibes reminiscent of a Tim Burton film, the music video for "WOOPA," is filled with an assortment of vampires, draculas and ghouls, all the makings of an iconic Halloween-themed video. PL & Wheelie enlisted some of Québec's biggest names to star in the video, including Charlotte LeBon, Monia Chokri, Julianne Côté, Vanessa Boudrias, Anthony Therrien, Nahéma Ricci, Antoine L'Écuyer, Madani Tall, Sara Montpetit, Rosalie Bonenfant and Vladislav Kharin.

Not to be outdone by the stellar cast, the video was created by an all-star team: director and creative director Fred Gervais, César-winning and Cannes prix du Jury recipient producer Nancy Grant, alongside Nick Fontaine, and director of photography Kristof Brandl (Jack White, Halsey).
Stay tuned to see what PL & Wheelie will come up with next.

PL & Wheelie's origin story is as unique as their music and anything but ordinary. Some would say their journey was made up, a fantasy of sorts. The story goes as follows, after being given invaluable advice at a Rapper's Anonymous meeting PL had a revelation that had him leave his hometown of Parasite City on his skateboard to live out his dream of being a beatboxer. Along the way he learns about Wheelie, a legendary beat-making creature who inhabits the secret underground world of the Holy Forest of Piedmont. Through a series of events and a stroke of luck PL made his way to the elusive Wheelie. When they met, the stars aligned and their melodic beats intertwined, merging their journeys, and forever changing the course of beatboxing history. "Barbe à papa" is the first installation in PL & Wheelie's artistic journey with Maison Barclay Canada. Their second single, "WOOPA," is out now.
