New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Universal Music Publishing Group) - Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) today announced the successful renewal of a long-term, global publishing agreement with hit-maker Jorgen Elofsson.

Jorgen has written some of the biggest pop hits such as 'Sometimes' and 'You Drive Me Crazy' for Britney Spears; 'A Moment Like This' for Kelly Clarkson; as well as several No. 1 hits in the UK and the rest of Europe for acts including Westlife, Will Young, and Gareth Gates. His songs have been covered by artists as diverse as Celine Dion, Il Divo, Bryan Adams, and Gerri Halliwell.

'I am delighted that Jorgen has chosen to extend his deal with us,' commented Martin Ingestrom, Managing Director/Vice President Nordic Countries, Universal Music Publishing Group. 'He is a world-class songwriter and is now more productive than ever. I am confident that we will enjoy lots of International success together - there are some fantastic songs being released in the very near future with very big artists.'

'I look forward to the new deal with Universal Music Publishing. To me, this reflects the very close creative relationship we have and also signals a start to a very productive era of my songwriting career,' said Jorgen Elofsson. 'I am happy for the commitment and belief UMPG has in me.'

Jorgen has recently had cuts with Leona Lewis, The Saturdays, Paloma Faith, and Kathryn Jenkins to name a few.

On June 19th at the Royal wedding for the Swedish crown princess, Jorgen's song 'When You Tell the World You're Mine' was performed as the official wedding song by Swedish pop stars Agnes and Bjorn Skifs and televised for 200 million viewers worldwide.
