NEW YORK (AP) - Late R&B star Aaliyah, who died in a plane crash in August, has received some posthumous help from her brother on her upcoming movie, Queen of the Damned.

Although Aaliyah's scenes in the film were finished before her death, the singer's older brother, Rasheed Haughton, has stepped in to re-record some voiceovers on a few dodgy lines in the film, according to Time. Haughton and Aaliyah reportedly have very similar voices.

In Queen of the Damned, the sequel to 1994's Interview with the Vampire, Aaliyah stars as a 6000-year-old vampire named Queen Akasha. The Warner Bros. film is due in February.

Meanwhile, rumors of an imminent Aaliyah tribute album have been denied by Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott. The rapper told the BBC she would be involved, however, if an album does materialize.
