Los Angeles, CA (TOP40 Charts/ Capitol Records) -- CYPRESS HILL celebrated yesterdays release of new album RISE UP with a special performance in front of a packed-house crowd at The Warfield in San Francisco.

Those that couldnt make it in shouldn't worry; the legendary hip hop group has announced a summer tour with Slightly Stoopid that begins July 16 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA and will take them nationwide. They'll play a string of North American dates before that, then head overseas for a tour of Europe. For ticket information, please visit www.cypresshill.com

On Monday night, Cypress Hill (emcees B-Real and Sen Dog, DJ Julio G and percussionist Eric Bobo) were joined by Rage Against The Machine/Street Sweeper Social Club/The Nightwatchman guitarist TOM MORELLO, System Of A Down drummer John Dolmayan and Deftones bassist Sergio Vega for a special performance on the outdoor stage of the ABC-TV show "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The all-star band tore through "Rise Up," the album's title track and first single, as well as classics such as "Insane In The Brain" and "Rock Superstar." Yesterday, Cypress Hill also appeared on both Fuel TVs The Daily Habit and CNN.

In August, Cypress Hill will join Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson and Phoenix as part of the Mile High Festival and Soundgarden, Green Day and Lady Gaga as part of Lollapalooza 2010.

In other news, MTV recently premiered the video for new single Armada Latina featuring Cypress Hill and special guest Pitbull and a special appearance by music legend Ste[hen Stills. Click here to see the clip: here. That follows the video premiere of Rise Up, which recently premiered on AOLs Boombox site and can be viewed here. Both Rise Up and Armada Latina (featuring Marc Anthony and Pitbull and produced by Jim Jonsin) can also be heard on Cypress Hills MySpace page: https://www.myspace.com/cypresshill.

RISE UP is Cypress Hills first new album in six years and features an all-star guest lineup, including Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda, System Of A Down guitarist/vocalist Daron Malakian, Everlast, Young De, Evidence, The Alchemist and comic legends Cheech & Chong.

Cypress Hill is one of the most successful and influential hip-hop/rock groups in music history, with more than 20 million worldwide sales, an amazing string of chart-topping hits and an international fanbase whose members number in the millions. Theyve headlined Lollapalooza, been named Best Rap Group by Rolling Stone, collaborated with the likes of Pearl Jam and Sonic Youth, hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and have had their music licensed for a plethora of TV shows, commercials and films.
