New York, NY (Top40 Charts) David Byrne was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on NBC this weekend, with host John Mulaney. Byrne performed Talking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime" and his 2008 tune with Fatboy Slim, "Toe Jam," two songs featured in David Byrne's American Utopia on Broadway, with musicians from that production. He also helps Mulaney steer Pete Davidson clear of La Guardia Airport sushi. You can watch all of the above along with a web-exclusive interview about his previous appearances on SNL below.

David Byrne's American Utopia returns to Broadway's intimate Hudson Theatre for a second run this September 18 through January 17, 2021. Spike Lee's film of the production will be released later this year.

The Broadway production features David Byrne with Jacquelene Acevedo, Gustavo Di Dalva, Daniel Freedman, Chris Giarmo, Tim Keiper, Tendayi Kuumba, Karl Mansfield, Mauro Refosco, Stéphane San Juan, Angie Swan, and Bobby Wooten III. Choreography is by Annie-B Parson, with Tony-nominated Alex Timbers serving as production consultant. The design team includes Rob Sinclair (lighting) and Pete Keppler (sound). Karl Mansfield and Mauro Refosco are Musical Directors.
