LOS ANGELES (Phyllis Pollack @ Def Press Public Relations) - This season, hiphop merges with Hollywood in a major way as the third and final film to be released from the mega-popular 'Blade' trilogy spotlights Kool Keith and his group Thee Undatakerz' innovative CD and their single, 'Party In The Morgue."
The New Line Cinema Blade series' grand finale, 'Blade: Trinity,' starring Wesley Snipes, features cutting edge filmmaking, special effects and technologically advanced creative sound effects, making it a high-tech, cinemascopic auditory experience for hiphop fans.
Highlighting the innovative score, composed by Wu Tang leader RZA, is the film's climactic fight scene, which is set to the song by Kool Keith and The Undatakerz' 'Party In The Morgue,' taken from the CD, 'Kool Keith Presents Thee Undatakerz' which was produced by the critically acclaimed DJ Daniel Merlot.
Already having received rave reviews, 'Party In The Morgue' along with its innovative music video, has been compared to the controversial, mega-hit 'Smack My Bitch Up,' the Kool Keith and Prodigy collaboration that achieved multi-platinum status worldwide.
'Kool Keith Presents Thee Undatakerz' featuring the 'Party In The Morgue' track was released by Activate Entertainment. The album features a hybrid disc, which plays the CD on all standard audio players. It also contains an enhanced format, so if played in a DVD player, the music video for the title track can be viewed.
What also contributes to making the album an item that is much sought after by hiphop fans is that the disc also contains an a cappella hidden bonus track of 'Party In The Morgue,' so that fans can make their own mix and send them to the record label at https://www.2activate.com to enter a competition. The producer of the winning remix will receive a record deal and an appearance on a major upcoming movie soundtrack.
In other Kool Keith activity, Daniel Merlot of the group Crash Berlin, has recorded a self-titled album that will be released on February 1, which contains the European smash collaboration with Kool Keith, 'Movin' The Hype Track.'
Meanwhile, the soundtrack album of the 'Blade: Trinity' film has also been released, on which artists joining Kool Keith and the Undatakerz include Raekwon, RZA, E-40, Fat Joe, Ghostface Killah, Lil Flip and the late, great, Old Dirty Bastard.
