Michael Young, Manila Based Saxophonist/entertainer To Tour The US This Summer
NEW YORK CITY & PANIQUI, TARLAC, Philippines (Top40 Charts/ DaSBro Enterprise) MICHAEL YOUNG, the Manila based Saxophonist/Entertainer will be embarking on a U.S. tour this summer.

MICHAEL YOUNG was born in Ann Arbor, Mich. to a Filipina mother and a German father. He pursued piano studies at the age of five with his grandmother before transferring to saxophone studies at the age of nine. He made his Carnegie Hall (NY) debut at the age of sixteen before pursuing a BM in Saxophone at the University of Michigan. MICHAEL then moved to Los Angeles, where he took up his Masters and Doctorate degrees in saxophone at the University of Southern California while modeling and acting on the side.

After completing his studies at U.S.C., MICHAEL moved to Manila, He moved to the Philippines because he wanted to reestablish his Filipino roots and also contribute to the music scene and culture. MICHAEL had grown up enjoying the melodic songs written by Filipino composers, and he had hoped to expose the Filipino audience to those tunes as played on the saxophone, which is not a common instrument in the Philippines.

MICHAEL YOUNG puts his heart and soul into his music. His saxophone is an integral part of him. He says that the sax is "my third eye in a way" and helps him visualize, so to speak, the communication of his essence and the soul of his music to bring out an emotional connection with his audience.

MICHAEL is a highly sought after entertainer extraordinaire!

In the Philippines, MICHAEL has performed with artists as Cynthia Alexander Lynn Sherman, Tots Tolentino, Johnny Allegre, Nico Maca, Raul Sunico and many more. He was in the house band of the Lynn Sherman show on RJTV and has performed in the Jewelmer and Ayala Jazz festivals, among others.

MICHAEL has been the featured performer at many corporate events, and has also served as a master of ceremonies. He regularly performs in festivals, casinos, and clubs.

He is also an actor who has appeared in films, television shows, and commercials. Furthermore, he is a model, having appeared in a number of print advertisements and fashion shows.

MICHAEL YOUNG is an endorser/model of Beverly Hills 6750, Emphasis Salon and Bergamo Suits, and an endorser of The Spa. He is a professor of saxophone at the University of the Philippines Diliman, University of Santo Tomas and St. Paul University Manila. He is also an endorser of P. Mauriat saxophones of Taiwan.

He is working on new jazz, classical, and Filipino albums which will be released in time for his upcoming U.S. tour, on Arena Records (with offices in Oslo and Manila).

MICHAEL YOUNG - "the doctor with sax appeal" - is a guaranteed crowd pleaser! He is looking forward to returning to the U.S. to entertain his fan base and to win over new fans who are sure to love the man and his music.
