Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ Live Nation) The annual Rockstar
Energy Drink UPROAR Festival returns August 26 through October 15 to conquer North
America with a massive active rock lineup. Leading the charge is multi-platinum headliner Avenged Sevenfold, making their triumphant return after co-headlining the 2010 debut Rockstar
Energy Drink UPROAR Festival.
Three Days Grace, Seether and Bullet For My Valentine, along with Escape The Fate will also be featured on this year's main stage. The touring music and lifestyle festival-which Revolver called "one of the most electric tours of the year" in 2010-also includes the Best Buy Music Gear Stage headliners Sevendust, as well as Black Tide, Art Of Dying and The Black Cloud Collective.
"When we started hearing from our fans they wanted to see us back on UPROAR this year, we thought, last year was a blast so let's do it again. The fans are crazy and the bands kick ass," says Avenged Sevenfold's frontman M. Shadows. "We're spending the first half of summer playing some big European festivals so we're going to be ready to get back home and play America's top rock festival."
"We're thrilled to have Avenged Sevenfold back as headliners," adds tour producers John Reese and John Oakes. "Their epic stage show helped elevate UPROAR 2010 far beyond the standard outdoor festival. The fans wanted more, and we listened."
The Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival will entertain fans with a full afternoon and evening of great rock bands and will also include a concourse midway featuring band autograph signings, vendors and other activities. The festival is being produced by John Reese, John Oakes and CAA in conjunction with Live Nation. About The Bands
Avenged Sevenfold's fifth album, Nightmare, debuted at Number One on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. The album has spawned two Number One hits on the Mediabase Active Rock Chart with the songs "Nightmare," which was the most played current song at the format in 2010, and "Welcome to the Family." Their current single, "So Far Away," is following in the footsteps of its predecessors and is quickly climbing the Active Rock and Modern Rock Charts. Avenged Sevenfold achieved worldwide success with their platinum 2005 breakthrough City Of Evil, which featured the wildly popular single "Bat Country." They are the only band to have headlined the Vans Warped Tour and Ozzfest while simultaneously hitting No 1 on MTV's TRL. In 2006, they won the fan-voted award for Best New Artist for "Bat Country" at the MTV Video Music Awards. The following year, their self-titled album Avenged Sevenfold sold over a million copies around the world. Thanks to their spectacular live shows as well as their rabid fan base, the band has become one of the biggest American hard rock bands and continue to sell out arenas worldwide. This year alone, Avenged Sevenfold will play to more than a million people. Over the course of their career Avenged Sevenfold has built a fanatical fan base resulting in over millions of albums sold worldwide, amassed more than 6.8 million fans on Facebook, and attracted 102 million plays on YouTube.
This past year, Three Days Grace brought their live act to fans with three successful North American tours promoting their latest album Life Starts Now, which debuted at No 3 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The album spawned three No 1 Active Rock songs including "The Good Life," "World So Cold" and the No 1 Song of the Year at Active Rock, "Break." Overall, Life Starts Now spent the year dominating the Modern, Heritage and Alternative rock radio-airplay charts across industry radio-monitoring services, BDS and Mediabase. Their latest single, "Lost In You," follows suit and is currently climbing up the charts on Mediabase and BDS.
Seether's fourth album, Holding Onto Strings Better Left To Fray, out May 17 on Wind-Up Records, was produced by the legendary Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against The Machine). The offering features the No 1 rock single "Country Song," and showcases songwriter and frontman Shaun Morgan's ability to successfully meld raw emotional lyrics with intensely melodic elements of heavy metal, post-grunge and alternative rock. The tongue-in-cheek companion video for "Country Song" can be seen here: https://tinyurl.com/43scshm. South African natives Seether debuted on the scene in 2002, have sold nearly 4 million units to date worldwide, and have become an impressive presence on the worldwide touring circuit, averaging more than 275 performances per year.
Bullet For My Valentine continue to tour and support their 2010 Top 3 release Fever and the follow up deluxe Fever Tour Edition CD/DVD, released in February. Fever Tour Edition features three new songs recorded live at XFM radio in the UK. The current single and title track "Fever" continues to climb at rock radio. Bullet For My Valentine were just nominated for three Kerrang! Awards including Best Single ("Your Betrayal"), Best Live and Best British Band. "The guys and I are really looking forward to this one," says lead singer and guitarist Matthew Tuck. "The line up is brilliant and it is always great to play with friends."
Known for their incendiary live shows, Escape The Fate has been relentlessly touring in support of their recent self-titled album (DGC/Interscope Records) that debuted at No 4 on the Billboard Rock album chart, No 3 on the Billboard Alternative chart and No 1 on the Billboard Tastemakers Chart and features the singles "Issues" and "Gorgeous Nightmare." Revolver proclaimed, "Escape The Fate made an album that treads the tightrope between good times and introspection, between rollicking rock, raging post-hardcore, and tender balladry," and Outburn declared "the band's new album is a compelling modern day masterpiece."
Sevendust-featuring the group's original lineup-is touring in support of their eighth studio album Cold Day Memory, which was released April 20, 2010 on their own 7Bros. Records, through Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group. The limited edition CD/DVD debuted No 12 on Billboard's Top 200 chart, marking the highest debut of the band's 15 year career.
After a non-stop rollercoaster of touring in support of its 2008 debut Light From Above-which saw Black Tide participate in the first-ever Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, tour the U.S. with Avenged Sevenfold, play the main stage at Ozzfest 2008, and light up the Vans Warped Tour 2009-Black Tide's dynamic second album for DGC/Interscope, Post Mortem, is set to hit stores August 23, 2011.
