BURBANK, CA. (Reprise Records/ www.mychemicalromance.com) - On the heels of their astounding five MTV Video Music Awards nominations, My Chemical Romance announce their complete headlining tour dates. The House of Blues-presented tour, with Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect, will kick off in Columbus, OH, at the PromoWest Pavilion on September 15th.

"We're excited to be presenting My Chemical Romance's fall tour," said Elyse Rogers, Senior Manager, HOB Touring. "There are certain bands that connect with kids in a way that you can feel by just watching the live show. My Chemical Romance care about their audience and tear it up on stage. It's great to watch the band grow, and I'm glad we get to be a part of it."

Hailing from the suburbs of Newark, NJ, My Chemical Romance is comprised of Gerard Way (vocals), Mikey Way (bass), Frank Iero (guitar), Ray Toro (guitar) and Bob Bryar (drums). Through nonstop touring this past year, the band garnered high praise and was the only support act on Green Day's Sold Out Spring tour, which led to a headline slot on the Vans Warped Tour. Along the way, the band has amassed a rabid fan base, catapulting them into headline status.

"The transition from support act to headliner is an exciting change, as this will be the first time fans get to spend a proper night with us," said Gerard Way. "Our set will be longer with fans hearing songs they've never seen live before and experience production, which we've never had. We can't wait!"

My Chemical Romance's "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" was released on June 8, 2004, and debuted at the top of the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. The band has received extensive media attention both on television and in print press, performing their hits on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Late Show with David Letterman," "Last Call with Carson Daly" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live"; and gracing the covers of Alternative Press and Spin as well as being prominently featured on the pages of Blender, Rolling Stone, Revolver, Guitar World and Bass Player. The band has made multiple appearances on Fuse's Daily Download and their videos remain in heavy rotation on the channel. They won the "Who's Next" contest on Yahoo! during August 2004 and recorded Sessions@AOL earlier this year.

My Chemical Romance was featured on MTV's highly acclaimed series for new music, "Discover and Download," leading to an appearance on TRL's "Spankin' New" Music Week. A current "TRL" darling, My Chemical Romance's video for "Helena" has stayed at the top of the "TRL" playlist for weeks. They were also the first band to be selected for MTV's groundbreaking "10 Spot Drop," and performed on the 2$ Bill concert from Buffalo earlier this year.
