LOS ANGELES (Atlantic Records) - 'I'd like to thank God but I can't because rock'n'roll is the devil's music and he writes the best tunes.' So said Jet guitarist Cameron Muncey when accepting one of six awards last night as the Melbourne rockers dominated the 18th Annual 2004 ARIA Music Awards, Australia's biggest music industry night.

In between racking up trophies, Jet performed 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl?,' the hit single that propelled them from their hometown of Dingley, Australia to worldwide success.
Winning six of the seven categories in which they were nominated, Jet received awards for the following:
- ALBUM OF THE YEAR
- SINGLE OF THE YEAR
- BEST GROUP
- BEST ROCK ALBUM
- BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST - ALBUM
- BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST - SINGLE ('Are You Gonna Be My Girl')

Jet has two more televised US award shows in the upcoming few weeks. NBC will televise the Radio Music Awards on Saturday, October 25th, where Jet is in the running for 'Artist of the Year: Rock Radio,' 'Artist of the Year: Rock Alternative Radio,' and 'Song of the Year: Rock Radio' (for 'Cold Hard Bitch').
And on Sunday, November 14th, the Melbourne-based quartet is up for 'Favorite Artist - Alternative Music' at the 31st Annual American Music Awards, set to air on ABC-TV (check local listings).
