LOS ANGELE S(Hungry Hustler Records) - Hungry Hustler recording artist Afroman is one busy sucker, with new releases like 4ro:20 and his Christmas album, Jobe Bells, but even he can't be two places at once.

That's exactly what it seemed like when one Dol Ré and San Jose, CA booking agency RS Entertainment were slapped with a cease-and-desist for performing and being promoted as Afroman of 'Because I Got High' fame up and down the west coast.

'Dol Ré is a talented impersonator,' admitted Afroman, whose real name is Joseph Foreman. 'He's good at what he does. I wish him success. If he ever gets to the point where he can't make money impersonating me as Afroman, maybe he can make money as 'Dol Ré, the guy who impersonated and ripped off Afroman.'

Afroman claims he would have tried to prevent Dol Ré from trying to swindle promoters long ago, but he didn't, of course, 'because he got high.'
His law firm, Jay M. Coggan & Associates, has given Dol Ré until March 5 to stop using the name 'Afroman' or identifying himself as the creator and performer of the million-selling single, 'Because I Got High.'
For Afroman's own musical take on the subject, see his website, www.afromanmusic.com/news.htm

Afroman's debut release, The Good Times, has sold more than 870,000 albums and is now RIAA certified Gold. The single, 'Because I Got High,' featured in the Kevin Smith movie, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, has sold 1.86 million copies around the world.
Afroman has subsequently released a number of albums on his label, distributed by Redeye. They include Sell Your Dope, Afroholic, Jobe Bells, 4ro: 20 and The Hungry Hustlerz: Starvation is Motivation, a compilation that includes his live band 2 Zigg Zaggs as well as Blaq, STRAINJ and DJ Mr. Mixx from Luther Campbell's original 2Live Crew.
