NEW YORK (Monitor Records/ Modest Mouse Official Website) - CASS McCOMBS has been invited to open for MODEST MOUSE on their upcoming U.S. tour, slated to begin later this month on the west coast, and covering the southwest and Midwest in late February. All confirmed dates are below.

The tour comes with the buzz surrounding CASS McCOMBS' upcoming release, PREfection (due out February 1st on Monitor Records). Following CASS's heart-breakingly romantic full-length debut, A, PREfection is a perfect pop experience. Wistful and intense, hook-laden and lyrical, tender but tempered, and best of all, surprising. Sometimes its leg-kicking, head-bobbing fun; other times it's dreamy and reflective.

CASS McCOMBS' first release was the critically acclaimed EP Not the Way. His work led Time Out New York to call him "One of the most gifted lyricists the indie-rock world has seen in a long time" while Pitchfork has gushed "we're dealing with a genius."

CASS McCOMBS records for Baltimore's Monitor Records in the U.S. and for 4AD in Europe.
