NEW
YORK (Layzie Bone Website) - Critically acclaimed rapper, Layzie Bone
of the Grammy Award winning hip-hop group Bone thugs-n-harmony in
conjunction with X-RAY Records is proud to present his first solo
release 'It's Not A Game'. This highly anticipated album drops May 31,
2005. Snoop Dogg, Twista, Krayzie Bone and WC are among the hip-hop
notables making guest appearances on this 20-track collection. This
release is a long awaited follow up to Layzie's 2001 side project Mo
Thugs Family Presents, 'Thug By Nature' and will confirm his status as
one of the preeminent voices in the game.
As part of the multi
platinum selling group Bone thugs-n-harmony Layzie Bone along with his
Bone Thug crew acquired an impressive and extensive resume. Signed to
Eazy E's Ruthless Records label, the Cleveland quartet recorded with
Notorious B.I.G., 2PAC and
Mariah Carey and sold over 35 million
records worldwide, earning themselves a Grammy for "Tha Crossroads."
The group redirected hip-hop, introducing mind-splitting, rapid-fire
rapping and angelic harmonies with melodic production to the genre.

Recorded
in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Seattle and Cleveland, 'It's Not A Game', is
Layzie Bone's most adventurous work to date. His hard-hittin' raps
layered over lush harmonies will be instantly recognizable to Bone
thugs-n-harmony fans. True to his word, Layzie Bone delivers a focused
brand of thuggery on the follow-up to 2001's 'Thug By Nature' (recorded
as L-Burna AKA Layzie Bone), which will surely strike a chord with the
millions of Bone fans around the world. The thumping "Thug Nation"
teams Layzie Bone with fellow Bone thug member Krayzie Bone for an
explosive song that details their ruthless natures. "It's a classic
Layzie Bone and Krayzie Bone collaboration," Layzie says. "That's what
makes it special. That's my dog. We were in the studio doing the song
together and it was like we were 12 years old in the seventh grade
again. We were on that vibe."
Snoop Dogg and M.T.F. (the Mo
Thugs Family) then join Layzie Bone on the sinister "Smokin' On
Information." Here, they let listeners know how life's journeys impact
them. "We're taking in life, everything that's comes with life," Layzie
says. "We get high on life and we're talking about that. We just soak
up game and put it back out there in a real way."
In addition to
writing and recording, Layzie Bone can also currently be seen
performing shows across the country with some of his Bone crew and
special guests from his Mo Thugs Family.
