NEW YORK (Silvertone Records/ www.jiverecords.com) - September is a busy month for Blues-Legend Buddy Guy. On September 27th, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and 5X Grammy winner will release his new studio album Bring 'Em In. Produced by Steve Jordan, Buddy Guy collaborated with such talents as Keith Richards, Keb Mo, Carlos Santana, Tracy Chapman and Anthony Hamilton. This marks the first studio album from Buddy since his Grammy Award winning Blues Singer released in 2003.
Buddy Guy has been announced to play Farm Aid's 20th Anniversary concert. The concert, organized by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 helps raise awareness about the loss of family farms and raises funds to keep farm families on their land. In addition to Buddy, this year's lineup includes Widespread Panic, Kenny Chesney, Los Lonely Boys, Arlo Guthrie and Emmylou Harris.
Buddy Guy is an internationally renowned blues guitarist, singer and showman who is considered the master of Chicago-style electric blues. In a career spanning more than 45 years, he has received 5 Grammy Awards, 21 W.C. Handy Awards, a Billboard Century Award and in 2003, President Bush presented Buddy with The Metal of Arts, which was established by Congress in 1984.
