NEW YORK, NY (KOCH Records) -- Following the success of charismatic U.K. icon Ian Brown's last album "Solarized," KOCH Records proudly announces the release of the highly-anticipated "best of" compilation by the former Stone Roses frontman. The compilation, titled "The Greatest," will be in stores on October 18th, 2005, and features all of Brown's smash hits in one collection.

After fronting one of the most important English bands in the '90s, Ian Brown continued a solo career, and released four highly acclaimed, successful albums. The albums -- "Unfinished Monkey Business" (1998), "Golden Greats" (2000), "Music of the Spheres" (2001) and "Solarized" (2005) -- each garnered massive hits for Brown in the U.K, and proved that Brown was still one of the U.K.'s most influential musicians.

"The Greatest" is a brilliant collection of all of Brown's smash hits spawned from each of his four solo albums, and also features rare remixes and exclusive versions. Additionally, the compilation includes a brand, new track, "All Ablaze," which is currently Top 20 in the UK

In July 2005, KOCH Records reissued Brown's first three solo albums: "Unfinished Monkey Business," "Golden Greats" and "Music of the Spheres" in July 2005. Each reissue is loaded with extra tracks and bonus materials.

"Unfinished Monkey Business" contains the bonus track "Can't See Me (both the Bacon & Quarmby Mix and Harveys Invisible Mix)." The reissue also includes videos for "Can't See Me," "Corpses," and "My Star."

The reissue of "Golden Greats" contains bonus tracks, "Dolphins Were Monkeys (both UNKLE v South remix and the single version)," "Billie Jean," "Thriller," "Love Like a Fountain (Infected by Scourge of the Earth)." Also included are bonus videos for "Love Like a Fountain," "Golden Gaze," and "Dolphins Were Monkey."

Perhaps most impressive is the U.S. reissue of "Music of the Spheres" which had been previously unavailable stateside and which includes an entire bonus disc, "Remixes of the Spheres," featuring remixes of the tracks by such luminaries as U.N.K.L.E., The Freelance Hellraiser and Nightmares on Wax. Also included in this package is a bonus video of "Whispers," plus an on-camera interview with Ian Brown conducted by Factory Records' founder Tony Wilson.
