MEMPHIS, TN. (The Zak Perry Band Official Website)- The Zak Perry Band, who has received some airplay in the
Memphis area, will be making their first ever
Memphis appearance on Tuesday, October 25th. The band will perform from 9:30pm - 1:30am at Paddy's
Memphis Pub at 345 Madison Avenue. Tickets are available at the door for $5.00.
The band will be highlighting material from their 2004 CD, 'Somewhere in the Morning', as well as material from their new CD, 'Dogwood', due for release later this fall.
Often compared to the likes of Government Mule, The Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Zak Perry Band brings its own Texas influenced Blues-Rock flair to a brilliant blending of Rock, Southern Rock, Blues and Country. Their show is hard hitting and high energy from start to finish, so be prepared to be tired at work on Wednesday!!
The band's popularity has grown tremendously over the past 6-months, due in large part to their climb up the New Artist Radio Top 40 Chart, not once, but twice. The band's hit single, 'The Falling Down' spent 18 weeks on the chart including 9-weeks in the Top 10, 6-weeks in the Top 5, and 3-weeks as No 1. The title track from the band's latest CD, 'Somewhere in the Morning' is catching up. Currently in it's 17th week on the chart, 'Somewhere in the Morning has spent 6-weeks in the Top 10, 3-weeks in the Top 5 and hit No 1 once.
