Wolfmother LIVE concert on your mobile

Sydney, AU (Universal Music Australia) - In an Australian first, Vodafone customers will be given the chance to stream a gig live to their mobile when Sydney power trio Wolfmother performs at the 2006 series return of Vodafone Live at The Chapel in Melbourne on Tuesday 24 October.

So far this year Wolfmother has sold over 800,000 copies of their self titled debut album and performed over 100 sold out shows overseas. They've made the US and UK top 30 whilst here at home, their album is certified triple platinum and they're among the most nominated artists at this year's ARIA Awards.

'We really wish we'd had more time to play shows here at home this year' said the band's drummer, Myles Heskett. 'Hopefully this mobile stream of the gig - and the eventual broadcasts elsewhere - will help make up for the fact that we haven't been able to play many gigs in Australia. It's also fun to be part of something that's an Australian �first'.'

Wolfmother's performance will also feature in the Channel 10 broadcasts of the program which are scheduled to begin on Tuesday October 31. More details on the new series of Vodafone Live at The Chapel will be announced shortly.
