(Eagle Rock Entertainment) -- Eagle Rock Entertainment, through its wholly-owned Eagle Vision subsidiary, will release One With
Everything on DVD by Styx with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra on November 21. The accompanying CD, One With Everything: Styx & the Contemporary Youth Orchestra, is now available on New Door Records/A&M/UMe and was released on November 7, 2006.
All musicians in the Orchestra are between 13 and 19 years of age, 115 musicians plus 56 voices in the chorus, under the direction of Liza Grossman. This magic night was taped in Cleveland on May 26, 2006 and included many of the band's well-worn and most beloved material such as "Too Much Time On My Hands," "Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)" and "Renegade" as well as newly written originals as well with "Just Be" and "Everything, All The Time."
One With Everything is the first all-new Styx concert video in over five years. Its release will be timed with an HD-Net broadcast on Nov. 19 at 9:00 pm and a full-scale stateside tour. Thirty minutes of extras include drummer Todd Sucherman's "Quake Cam," two new Styx Christmas songs filmed at the same concert ("All I Want" and "Ring The Bells"), an interview with the band, and a photo gallery. The 140-minute show is in 5.1 Dolby Stereo.? ?The 2006 Styx lineup consists of singer/songwriter guitarists Tommy Shaw/James Young, drummer Todd Sucherman, lead singer Lawrence Gowan, bassist/guitarist Ricky Phillips and for this special concert, a guest appearance by founding member/bassist Chuck Panozzo.? ?Styx is one of the most popular and beloved Prog-Rock bands to emanate from the American heartland, having earned three triple platinum, one double platinum, one platinum and five gold albums, and notched 16 pop Top 40 singles. Hailing from the Chicago area, they first started playing together in 1961, 11 years before their eponymous '72 debut. Although lineup changed threatened to derail their ascent, the core spirit of this band – Shaw, JY and Panozzo – remains intact to this day.?
