Sammie embarks on one of the most buzzed about tours of the season, the Scream 5 Tour. He joins a hot line-up of young superstars including Omarion, Ne-Yo, Young Joc, Jibbs, and Mario. The tour billed as the �Ruff & Ready, Young & Sexy� tour is presented by BET.
Sammie will join the tour on December 8th in Oakland, CA.
The Scream brand is viewed by music industry insiders as one of the most successful young-adult live concert franchises ever launched. The “Scream” franchise has entertained more than one million fans since the first Scream Tour in 2001. The tour is timed to follow the release of Sammie�s new single, “Come With Me”. The 19 year old singer, who recently wrapped up the BET College Tour earlier this month, released his critically acclaimed self-titled sophomore album last month.
The Miami native Sammie has also found time to participate in a couple of the McDonald�s Williams Sister Tour date before he joins Scream. He will perform on November 30 in Denver, CO and December 7th in Charlotte, N.C. for thousands of young fans at an event that raises funds and awareness for the Ronald McDonald House and a host of other children�s organizations. The tour features tennis sister-stars Venus and Serena Williams performing exhibition matches throughout the country on behalf of the charities.
Sammie�s 2001 Top 10 hit single, “I Like It,” introduced him to his legion of music fans. He is one of the few young artists to call a temporary time-out in his career to go back and complete high school. Sammie now finds himself with one of the most talked about albums of the year. Reuniting with renowned producer Dallas Austin (he helmed the first Sammie disc), the production genius guides this second helping of R&B, hip-hop-tinged mid-tempo tracks into more soulful territory. The album includes a passionate collection of songs –many of which were written by Sammie himself – as well as top-notch production by Brian M. Cox, Adionis and Daron Jones among others.
