Moby Plans Two-Month European Tour

LONDON, UK (Moby Official Website) - Moby has lined up a two-month European tour in support of his brand new V2/Mute album, "18," which is No. 1 in 12 European countries and debuts this week at No. 4 on The US Albums. The trek begins Sept. 29 in Frankfurt, Germany, and wraps Nov. 30 in Glasgow. As previously reported, Moby will also headline this summer's Area2 festival tour, which kicks off July 28 in Bristow, Va., and also features David Bowie, Busta Rhymes, and John Digweed, among others.

"18," which earned Moby his highest ever showing on The Billboard 200, is in the top-4 in five other European countries. The single "We Are All Made of Stars" is No. 27 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart this week.

"I've just been told that '18' is the # 1 selling album in the world," Moby writes on his official Web site. "Whoo-boy, that's just nuts. I'm a little bald guy from the Lower East Side of Manhattan and I make records in my spare bedroom. How have I ended up with the #1 selling album in the world? Thanks everybody."
