(Sh-k-boom/Ghostlight) - Music Icon Dion And Award-Winning Performer John Lithgow Receive Grammy Nominations

In today's announcement ceremony for the 49th annual Grammy Awards, rock n' roll legend Dion was recognized in the category of Best Traditional Blues Album for his Razor & Tie release BRONX IN BLUE. This marks Dion's second Grammy nomination ever. John Lithgow was recognized in the category of Best Musical Album for Children for his Razor & Tie release THE SUNNY SIDE OF THE STREET. It's Lithgow's fourth nomination, but his first in this category.

BRONX IN BLUE is the critically acclaimed album from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dion DiMucci. It was originally released digitally by The Orchard with a limited retail distribution. The album, which Rolling Stone called "stunning", is a 14-track all- acoustic blues collection that highlights the music that first inspired Dion as a child growing up in the Bronx. With songs by Robert Johnson, Willie Dixon, Jimmy Rogers, Hank Williams, Lightnin' Hopkins and Jimmy Reed, the collection is a soulful tour de force for Dion, not only in his familiar role as a magnificently interpretive vocalist but also as a brilliantly innovative guitarist. "If You Wanna Rock & Roll", a new Dion original, is written in the spirit of the blues classics that are heard in BRONX IN BLUE.

THE SUNNY SIDE OF THE STREET features cover versions of classic songs from The Great American Songbook including, "Getting To Know You" and "Inka Dinka Doo", with decidedly animated performances geared towards children. Produced by JC Hopkins (Victoria Williams, JC Hopkins Biggish Band featuring Norah Jones), the album features guest appearances by Madeleine Peyroux, Wayne Knight (Seinfeld's Newman), Broadway's Sherie Rene Scott ("Aida", "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels") and cabaret star Maude Maggart.

In addition, Razor & Tie distributed label Sh-k-boom/Ghostlight picks up a nomination in the Best Musical Show Album category, for THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. Sh-k-boom/Ghostlight Records has become one of the foremost labels for musical theater albums, having been nominated for 55 industry nominations, including 18 Tony Award nominations. Their catalogue includes many of the top shows on Broadway along with solo recordings of top Broadway performers Adam Pascal, Christine Ebersole, and Patti LuPone.
