SEATTLE (Bumbershoot Festival Website) - Jewel and Wyclef Jean lead the bill for the thirty-second edition of Seattle's Bumbershoot festival, held every year over Labor Day weekend. Confirmed for the always-eclectic event -- which this year will run from August 30th to September 2nd -- is a mix of artists that stretches from indie rock legends Sonic Youth to saxophonist Maceo Parker to hip-hoppers Blackalicious. Also set for the weekend are radio darlings Lifehouse, reunited rockers Concrete Blonde, singer-songwriters Ani DiFranco, Richard Thompson and Michelle Shocked, veteran rockers Dave Edmunds and Dave Davies (who will share the stage), cowpunks the Mekons and indie oddballs Modest Mouse and Blonde Redhead, with more acts to be announced when the lineup is finalized July 12th. Daily tickets to this year's festival -- slated for the downtown park Seattle Center -- are up slightly this year to $15, but a new partnership with the Experience Music Project will permit guests discounted admission to the EMP with their festival pass.
