NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) - Atlantic recording group Shadows Fall has unveiled a whirlwind of activity surrounding the upcoming release of their new album, "THREADS OF LIFE." The much-anticipated collection - which features the single, "Redemption" - arrives in stores on April 3rd.

This week will see the "Redemption" companion video making its world premiere as MTV2's "Unleashed" clip of the day, airing hourly today, March 26th. Tomorrow, Shadows Fall will be the featured band on MTV2's "The Drop," found at www.mtv2.com/No the_drop. In addition, "Redemption" - directed by Zach Merck (Blue October, Hinder, Converge) - will be seen on an upcoming installment of Fuse's Friday night metalfest, "Uranium."

"THREADS OF LIFE" was produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver). "Redemption" is already lighting a fire at radio, reaching No 1 at Metal Radio on the Mediaguide Metal Specialty Tracks while also scoring major play at Active Rock.

Shadows Fall is currently on the road as part of the annual Jägermeister Music Tour. The multi-artist bill sees the critically acclaimed metal outfit sharing the stage with Stone Sour and Lacuna Coil. [Tour itinerary below.]

Furthermore, Shadows Fall has partnered up with Sam Ash Music, Ibanez Guitars and Basses, Revolver Magazine, and Hot Topic to present the "Shred For Life" sweepstakes. The contest offers fans a chance to compete for a mindblowing grand prize package which includes an Ibanez guitar and case autographed by Shadows Fall; a personal guitar lesson with members of the band; tickets, travel, accommodations, and VIP passes to see an upcoming Shadows Fall concert; a one-year subscription to Revolver Magazine; a Hot Topic Gift Card valued at $150; and a $500 Sam Ash gift card. An entry form, along with complete details on "The Shred For Life Sweepstakes 2007" can be found at: https://feature.atlrec.com/contests/shadowsfall/revolver.

The band will hold in-store signings on April 3 at the Hot Topic in Meriden Mall in Meriden, CT, and on April 4 at Best Buy in Boston at the Landmark Center. Both signings will begin at 4 PM.

In addition, Shadows Fall members Matt Bachand (guitar, vocals), Paul Romanko (bass), and Jason Bittner (drums) will be making a number of in-store appearances at Sam Ash Music locations across the country. The itinerary calls for visits to Sam Ash stores in Springdale, Ohio (April 9th); Atlanta, Georgia (April 12th); Orlando, Florida (April 14th); San Antonio, Texas (April 18th); Las Vegas, Nevada (April 20th); and Glendale, Arizona (April 21st). See www.samash.com for store locations and complete scheduling details.

Shadows Fall is unquestionably among the most potent music forces in modern metal, melding full-on thrash power with melodic, pulverizing hooks. In its first decade in existence, the band has blazed an extraordinary trail, earning a 2006 Grammy Awards nomination for "Best Metal Performance," reaping critical acclaim from metal mainstream and hardcore underground alike, and touring the planet nearly non-stop (including an ecstatically received mainstage run on 2005's Ozzfest).

The Springfield, Massachusetts-based five-piece is currently featured on the cover of two prestigious publications, Revolver and Outburn. Other upcoming press includes features in Decibel, Guitar World, and an additional cover appearance on a future issue of Metal Maniacs.

Shadows Fall is: Matt Bachand - guitar, vocals; Paul Romanko - bass; Brian Fair - vocals; Jason Bittner - drums; Jon Donais - lead guitar, vocals
