Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Big Machine Records) - Sold out before the show even started, Monday night Big Machine recording artist Danielle Peck hosted "An Evening with Danielle Peck and Friends" in support of Safe Haven Family Shelter. The crowd enjoyed performances from Danielle and a host of stellar artists including surprise guests JoDee Messina, Bucky Covington and Deana Carter, along with previous announced guests Blue County , Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Julie Roberts, Emily West, and Keith Anderson.

Lisa Manning, a Safe Haven supporter, of 103.3 WKDF volunteered to emcee the event.

'It makes me happy to have so many good friends—all of whom are all so talented-to help me bring people out in support of this organization. Fans came from so many different places to be there, in the audience, and to support Safe Haven. It touches me deeply.' comments Peck.

The event, which will become an annual tradition, helped kick off "Safe Haven Homeless Family Awareness Day," which falls on Wednesday March 28 th. Earlier in the day, a resolution was passed and read by the Tennessee State Legislature declaring this an officially recognized day. Representative Mary Pruitt sponsored the resolution with support by the House Speaker, Jimmy Naifeh.

"This whole day was a dream-come-true," stated Bruce Newport, Safe Haven ' s Executive Director. "The state resolution was a great way to start the day and Danielle ' s event ended the evening with a tremendous success. I sincerely thank everyone that has made this possible."

On Wednesday, March 28th Safe Haven Family Shelter will be hosting and open house from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. as part of the official "Safe Haven Homeless Family Awareness Day". Staff will be on hand to show visitors their organizational headquarters and answer questions about family homelessness.

Safe Haven Family Shelter is a 501 C 3 nonprofit organization that was founded in 1984. Safe Haven ' s Mission is to empower homeless families to become independent through social, financial and faith-based guidance. Safe Haven is the only family shelter of its kind in Middle Tennessee, serving 15 families at a time. Safe Haven has two program shelters and six transitional homes. As of March 1st Safe Haven has an 84% success rate for the prior 18 months. Success is measured by parents obtaining a job, children are enrolled in school, and familiesmust graduate a set program curriculum and must remain in mainstream living for at least 3 months.
