SAN ANTONIO, TX. (Top40 Charts/ KALHALLA RECORDS) - Extreme Metal band formed July 1989, "KALHALLA": Bassist Vincent "Raven" Gonzales, Lead Guitarist & Vocal Robert "Maverick" Benson, Drummer Sam "The Enforcer" Bass

On Wednesday, March 21, 2007 on modern rock station 92.7 KRXF in Bend, Oregon, the 3-minute and 48-second aggressive song of a man in prison sentenced to a cruel and unusual punishment of "Solitary Confinement" for life for past crimes aired into commercial rotation, making the single the heaviest, darkest and most aggressive song in commercial rock programming. The song is edgier, rougher and tougher sounding than any rock, metal or gangster rap song in commercial radio history. Even though groove and melody is used in the track it starts off with fast double kick drums and use of blast beats with dark guitar riffs with deep aggressive vocals and a deep bass sound that are all elements used in Extreme Metal music. The song brings an element of danger and testosterone into rock radio. Music Director of KRXF Mike Flanagan, who added the song, confirmed the single has a good reaction with the listeners and it's climbing the chart. "Solitary Confinement" is off the upcoming CD "Darkside Of The World" originally due out in January and now due early July 2007. The CD is to cover dark topics of anger, war, betrayal and terrorism with titles "Armageddon," "Zero Tolerance," "Welcome To The War" and more. Released on the band's own label KALHALLA RECORDS, the adding of the single comes after stiff fines and regulations from the FCC to commercial radio stations across the country. It's yet to be seen if this is a beginning to a major change in radio. "Solitary Confinement" is available for free download at https://www.metal247.net.

"KALHALLA" is to tour in Europe in the fall of 2007, touring the countries of England, France, Germany, Poland, Russia, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and China. The band will then tour 11 cities in the U.S. in January 2008.
