NEW YORK (Disco News Website) - Gloria Gaynor's latest album, I Wish You Love, celebrates its first week is stores on Tuesday (September 17). Although the final sales count for the singer won't be available until Wednesday (September 18), the set's first single, "I Never Knew," has moved up to Number Two on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. Just because I Wish You Love is Gaynor's first American collection of new material in more than 15 years doesn't mean she has been resting on past successes. In the summer of 2001, Gaynor released the single "Just Keep Thinking About You," which also made it's run on the dance chart.
Gloria Gaynor asked for her thoughts on that single. "Now that's a song that makes your body move. It makes my body move, and it ain't easy moving my body, but I loved that song. It's just really uplifting - it's very positive message - and the beat, the music, is so up. I just love it, and it was great to have it." The "I Will Survive" singer will host an album release party on Tuesday in New York City.
