LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Kanine Records) - The Alarm Clock EP out November 27th (Kanine Records) showcases their love of 50's rock'n'roll, Adam & The Ants,
Queen and is self-described as, "Like playing
Clash songs, but using brass instead." Oh yes, tons of "parping" brass, saxophone by Tom Gorbutt & trumpet by Henry Clark to be exact.
The official bio (pasted below) will fill you in on lead vocalist/guitar player Charlie Waller's inspiration to be in a band, and how he joined up with drummer Matthew Wheeler and his two aforementioned mates - all from Tavistock (yeah the one near Exeter).
The bio will fill you in on how The Rumble Strips came to put out a handful of singles in the UK on Fallout Records (home of The Fratellis), which led to a deal with Universal-Island and recording their full-length album in Los Angeles with Tony Hoffer.
So they've visited the US before, including one rowdy trip to SxSW (google it), and they excitedly return this November for a first tour.
This EP contains six tracks including a Thin Lizzy cover of "The Boys Are Back In Town" (a live favorite); the physical CD will contain the videos for "Alarm Clock" and "Oh Creole."
