Motorhead Gets Ripped

NEW YORK (Motorhead Fans Website) - A former management assistant to Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister has been charged with ripping off the heavy metal rock star.

Alex Guerrero is facing multiple counts of forgery and grand theft to the tune of just over $30,000. He's been released on a $15,000 bond and has his first court appearance set for Oct. 9.

References on the Internet refer to Guerrero as a partner in Singerman Entertainment, with a roster including Motorhead, Zebrahead, Misfits, and Slaves on Dope; however, company head Todd Singerman says that Guerrero was a contracted assistant and not a partner. Singerman said Guerrero worked at the company for four or five years before leaving in 2001.

"He watered my plants when I was on tour," Kilmister told allstar of Guerrero, who currently represents Mushroomhead, Boy Sets Fire, and Maverick's newly signed Stage, under the Spivak Entertainment umbrella. The rock star also alleges that while Guerrero had access to his house he "got his hands on a checkbook and just wrote checks out to himself." It took a year for the infractions to come to light, and another year to investigate.

When contacted via email, Guerrero declined to discuss the matter. He replied, "There have been accusations made, and my lawyers have requested that I not comment on them."

Meanwhile, Kilmister will be unveiling his new autobiography, White Line Fever, at several book signing events in Europe, while Motorhead tours the continent with Anthrax starting Oct. 13 in Manchester, England. The 320-page book, published by Simon & Schuster, is due out in November and promises a "warts and all" telling of Kilmister's high-octane life and career.
