NEW YORK (Peoplenews Website) - Less than two years ago, the state of New York was trying to put Sean "P. Diddy" Combs behind bars for his alleged involvement in a club shooting in New York. Now, they want to put him in an ad promoting tourism.

Peoplenews.com reports that city officials are excited about the rapper's contribution to the ad, quoting a source as saying "He grew up in Harlem, he's young, cool, and successful and embodies everything that New York is about.
He's quite a showman and is just the person to add a bit of celebrity pizzazz." There is no word yet on when the ad will be shot.

Lil' Kim speaks out against her former associate P. Diddy in the November Source magazine, saying he still has "a lot to learn in his game. I was doing way more for him than he was for me." Kim's first post-Puffy album is due out in 2003.
