Tegan and Sara Confirm 2008 Spring Tour!

BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Sire Records) - Universally revered Canadian act Tegan and Sara have announced their plans to return to the U.S. this Spring in support of their fifth studio album and first for Vapor/Sire Records, "The Con." One of the most critically lauded albums of the year, the Quin sisters continue to ascend to greater songwriting strengths with an irrepressible, razor-sharp wit and uniquely affecting lyrical perspectives that resonate on a deeply personal level within the hearts of their audience: "There are plenty of albums to like, but this (fittingly enough) is one to obsess over... it could well be one of the year's best albums," quoted The New York Times. "Stronger than ever," claimed Spin Magazine. Rolling Stone called the album, "Uncommonly catchy."

"The Con," the title cut from the album, will be the next track to hit the airwaves. The video for the track and interviews with Tegan and Sara will be featured on mtvU's "House Band" beginning Jan. 14.

Following completely sold out fall and winter tours of the U.S., Canada and Australia, Tegan and Sara will begin their "Out Of Hibernation Tour" in April on the West Coast and work their way east.
