Sydney, AU. (Top40 Charts/ EMI MUSIC Australia) - From Sara Storer's latest album 'Silver Skies', comes the new single 'Long Live The Girls', the follow up to the heartfelt 'Land Cries Out', the first single which recently delivered Sara with 3 Golden Guitar nominations.

'Long Live The Girls' was co-written with Boh Runga (sister of Bic) and is about young girls and their stories of adolescence. Sara sings about her nieces performing in concerts and selling pretend tickets; girls looking out for each other; and staying young, not worrying about love and heartache.

The album 'Silver Skies' which debuted at No 3 on the MOTOROLA ARIA Australian Artist Top 20 Country Albums Chart, was co-produced by Matt Fell, together with The Waif's Josh Cunningham.

On the eve of the CMAA Country Music Awards, Sara will perform two shows in Tamworth, and will follow with shows around the country, as special guest on the Suzanne Vega tour.

'This time, with producers Matt Fell and Josh Cunningham, Storer has found a way to make country music that doesn't play on hokum (Second Time Around is charming), folk-pop music that doesn't sound sweetened (Long Live The Girls wouldn't be out of place on a Waifs album) and includes the earthiness that is, surprisingly, so rarely heard in local country."
