(Top40 Charts/ Universal Music Publishing Group) - David Renzer, Chairman & CEO, Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) announced today the signing of an exclusive world-wide publishing administration agreement with Missy Elliott, four time GRAMMY award winner and multi-platinum artist/hit-maker. Missy Elliott was previously with EMI Music Publishing.

Missy Elliott's vast publishing catalog includes her No. 1 hit songs "Hot Boyz," "Work It," and "Gossip Folks," as well as her Top 10 hit songs "Sock it 2 Me," "Teary Eyed," "Get Ur Freak On," "One Minute Man," "Pass That Dutch," and "Lose Control," among many others.

"Missy is one of the most successful female artists in hip-hop music history," said Ethiopia Habtermariam, Vice President, Urban Creative Affairs, Universal Music Publishing Group. "We are proud to be her new publishing family, and to be a part of her career filled with honors."

With six platinum albums and one double-platinum album, Missy Elliott is one of the only female rappers to have had every album she released reach the Billboard Top 10 album charts. Missy Elliott has sold over 7.6 million albums to date and has won four GRAMMY Awards.

Missy Elliott's four GRAMMY wins include three song awards, for "Best Female Rap Solo Performance" for "Scream" a.k.a. "Itchin'", and "Work It." She won another song award for Best Rap Solo Performance on "Get Ur Freak On," and a video award for her short form music video for the hit "Lose It."

As an artist and producer, she has had six number one entries on the Billboard Singles charts. Missy Elliott has co-written hits with Ciara, Timbaland, Mariah Carey, Danity Kane, K.T. Tunstall, Aaliyah, Whitney Houston, Keyshia Cole, Mary J. Blige, Jermaine Dupri, and TLC to name a few. She has also done production work with Angie Stone, Fantasia, Madonna, Beyonce, Destiny's Child, Tweet, Monica and more.

Missy Elliott joins UMPG's impressive roster, which includes the works of such artists as: 50 Cent, Ciara, Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake, T-Pain, Ne-Yo, R Kelly, Beastie Boys, Nelly, Babyface, Cypress Hill, Ice Cube, Keri Hilson, Jill Scott, Nelly, Erykah Badu, Ja Rule, Macy Gray, and Wu-Tang Clan, amongst many others.
