NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Blee Official Website) - After over a 3 year hiatus since his last solo project, Blee looks to be back on form with the release of a new mixtape, ahead of his new album due out in the Spring/Summer.

Friday the 13th of March sees the release of 'The Black Lion Chronicles Chapter 1, a 13 track collection in which Blee flows over a mixture of original and commercial beats with a confidence and assuredness not evident in his earlier material. There is clear evidence that the past 3 years have not been spent being idle.

The mixtape opens with high energy 'Watch The Show' over a banging Scott Storch beat, followed by 'Natural Mystic' which further emphasises the growth of the artist. The energy is maintained on the next couple tracks before he breaks into a few numbers for the ladies. The mixtape finishes on a slightly controversial note with 'The Review' which is an attention grabbing track featuring excerpts from a Malcolm X speech.

According to the artist, the plan is to drop 13 chapters of 'The Chronicles' each one on a Friday the 13th, so I guess 'Black Friday' will be a day of good luck for his fans.

It's a bit too early to determine whether or not the album will follow a similar formula to the mixtape, but if Blee continues to grow as demonstrated here, he can definitely expect to increase his fanbase substantially over the next year

'The Black Lion Chronicles Chapter 1' will be available for free download on https://www.sendspace.com/file/5wh1bt from Friday the 13th of March.

New album 'Respect Your Legacy' is due out Spring 2009.
