NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Music City News Media) - Multi-platinum, chart-topping, country recording artist Tracy Lawrence has solidified his stature once again as a pillar in the industry. Tracy's new inspirational country CD has made a powerful first impression with country music fans and radio stations across the U.S.-one that will continue to stand for years to come. THE ROCK, the third album from Lawrence's own independent label, Rocky Comfort Records, debuted in the Top 20 country albums and Top 5 Christian albums last week (6/14/09 Nielsen US SoundScan Chart).

The news comes on the heels of a jam-packed CMA Fest schedule, which coincided with Lawrence's album launch promotional tour. Tracy is in week six of his aggressive cross-country tour (that has included a number of in-store appearances and radio station visits) to personally introduce the CD in his top sales markets.

'I waited to record this album and I'm so pleased that my fans (and country radio) seem to embrace the new music. It was worth the 'time' and that in itself is what it's all about for me,' Lawrence said.

In special honor and celebration, Tracy will be treated like royalty at an upcoming show at the close of the month. Promoters of the Headwaters Country Jam have arranged for Lawrence to arrive to the stage in Three Forks, Montana on a horse-drawn wagon by none other than the Budweiser Clydesdales. Upon his arrival, the lights at The Bridge At Three Forks Arena will be dimmed; the light towers will form a runway for the magnificent horses. (Lawrence's performance at the Headwaters Country Jam is scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2009. For ticket information visit: www.headwaterscountryjam.com.)

'We're excited to have Tracy join us this year and the debut of his new CD at the top of the charts just makes it more cause for celebration. It's seemingly fitting,' said Shane Worley, President of Headwaters Country Jam.

Tracy is an 18-year industry veteran with 17 No. 1 singles (including 'Paint Me A Birmingham,' 'Alibis' and 'Find Out Who Your Friends Are') and more than 30 charted singles to his name. He's recorded 10 studio albums, five specialty records and with more than eight million albums sold, he enjoys multi-platinum status.
