New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Rogers & Cowan) - 10-time Grammy award winning vocal group, THE MANHATTAN TRANSFER, continue their 40th Anniversary celebration with a performance at the PLAYBOY JAZZ FESTIVAL on Sunday, June 13. The group are currently promoting their critically acclaimed release - THE CHICK COREA SONGBOOK.

The 32nd Annual Playboy Jazz Festival takes place on Saturday, June 12 from 2:30 p.m. - 11 p.m. and Sunday, June 13 from 2 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. at The Hollywood Bowl. The Chick Corea Freedom Band, George Benson, Los Van Van, Robert Randolph and The Family Band, The Marcus Miller Band featuring Christian Scott and Esperanza Spalding are among the exciting performances scheduled for this year. Actor Bill Cosby returns as host for the 29th consecutive year.

THE MANHATTAN TRANSFER is a platinum selling, world-wide chart topping super group that made GRAMMY history in 1981 by becoming first group to win GRAMMY's simultaneously in both the Jazz and Pop categories. No vocal ensemble has demonstrated the versatility, standards of excellence, appetite for challenge and staying power of this super vocal group.

They released the third most honored album in Pop History with VOCALESE earning an impressive 12 GRAMMY nominations, surpassed only by Carlos Santana's Super Natural and Michael Jackson's Thriller. To date, they've won10 GRAMMYs and have earned 17 GRAMMY nominations.

They are widely renowned for broadening the musical landscape with their innovative, genre defying sound, the jazz/pop vocal group is responsible for bringing Brazilian Pop music to American radio stations. They also introduced Bob Marley and The Wailers to American television audiences by giving the group its first national break on their CBS television show in 1975.
