First single "ClichAS" was largely recorded and produced by the band and is a universal story of breaking up and the struggle to move on, with a tongue-in-cheek nod to the fact it's not the first time this sentiment has been expressed. The video for the track shows the group's quirky side, featuring Sarah and her mannequin-boyfriend in a series of scenes.
The four years since Sarah met Richard Llewellyn at a rehearsal room in the tiny Welsh village of Llanfyrnach have been anything but dull. The pair moved from their small home towns in western Wales to the city Cardiff to make a fresh start. There they began penning songs together and Paper Aeroplanes was born. In their earliest stages, Paper Aeroplanes had success with the use of their song "When the Lights Go Out" on a worldwide "OC" trailer and a Hallmark channel advertisement.
With some help from the Internet, the band has since grown in popularity across the UK, Europe and beyond, with national airplay from BBC Radio 2 and three singles playlisted at BBC Radio Wales.
Come fly with them.
