New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ RoadRunner Records) A panel of Roadrunner Records and Full Metal Texas representatives has deemed Texas' Head Crusher the winner of this year's first annual The Road to Full Metal Texas contest. Few bands have the raw talent and perseverance of Head Crusher, qualities that definitely came in handy as they worked their way up to the very top of the Full Metal Texas chart on SignMeTo. After moving to the US from their hometown in Colombia, Head Crusher committed themselves to making music that has everything fans miss about classic metal: killer riffs, punishing drums, intense vocals and songs with edges so sharp they just might break your neck. The four runners up included Core Effect, Splatta Fish, The Last Ten Seconds of Life and Jack Ketch. Make sure you catch Head Crusher at Full Metal Texas at Emo's on March 17th. This year, Yeah! Management and Branch Marketing Collective have teamed up with Brooklyn Vegan and 1000Knives to bring an even more diverse lineup to Full Metal Texas. The show takes place at Emo's Inside and Outside stages on Thursday, March 17th from Noon 'til 6pm. 15 bands will tear apart the two stages throughout the day. As in the past, Full Metal Texas has some amazing partners on board for this year from around the world, including Bands On A Budget, Dead Conflict Records, Evil Bong 3D, Harpoon Brewery, Sin Cal Industries, and Wacken Open Air / ICS Festival Service. The event is also supported by March Is Metal Month, Metal Injection, Metal Insider, MetalSucks, Record Store Day and Put In Mouth.
