Young The Giant To Support Incubus This Summer 2011!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ RoadRunner Records) Much-buzzed about California rock band Young The Giant, known for their high-octane live shows, which boasts arena-sized hooks and dynamic influences ranging from jazz rhythms to surf pop harmonies to alt rock bluster, will continue to tour in support of its self-titled debut. The band is pleased to announce that they will provide sole support to Incubus on their late summer/early fall trek. YTG will jump on the tour on the August 30th in Columbus, Ohio, and then wind through the country with Incubus for several weeks, playing amphitheatre venues, wrapping up on October 9th in San Francisco. Young The Giant are planning several performances at a series of festivals including KROQ-LA's Weenie Roast June 4, Live 105's BFD on June 5th, Summerfest in Milwaukee July 5, main stage of Lollapalooza in August and Austin City Limits in September. They also appeared at Sasquatch last weekend.

Their debut has been hailed as "vivid, vibrant rock... a pop masterpiece" by Wall Street Journal, while Billboard deemed them "rising stars." SPIN recently featured the band, while the single "My Body" was a Top 5 single on the Alternative Radio Charts.

The band made its late night TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this past winter and thanks to their impressive musical chops, the band has been celebrated by the like of Nylon.com, New York Times, AOL Spinner and everyone in between.

Even rock icon Morrissey was impressed by Young The Giant's performance on Later With Jules Holland, and expressed his fandom via a note posted on a Morrissey Zine website: "I could break down with happiness at the new debut CD by Young The Giant. It is the whole thing ... it is the perfect tone ... and Sameer's voice is unbreakable. If there is any justice in the world (and we all know there isn't) Young The Giant will own most of it by August... Every three thousand years, a band comes along who restore that precious component of faith." For a new taste of Young the Giant, check out their acoustic performance of "Guns Out" (via NME) by going here.
