LOS ANGELES (Zoe Vision/ Rounder/ Atlantic) - Multi-platinum rock band Matchbox Twenty entered at the top of the DVD charts in three countries - USA, Canada and Australia - with the release of their first-ever in-concert DVD Show: A Night In The Life Of Matchbox Twenty. The DVD is also expected to top the charts around the globe upon its June 21 worldwide release. Released May 25 via Rounder/Zoë Vision and produced by Coming Home Studios, the two-DVD set comprises a behind-the-scenes documentary and a 100-minute concert special filmed at Atlanta's Philips Arena including the band's No 1 hits "Push," "If You're Gone" and "Bent," plus "Disease" and "Unwell," both from the group's current double platinum album, 'More than You Think You Are.' The concert was recorded in high definition video and in SRS Circle Surround 5.1, which marks the first time an artist has used this technology on a live concert DVD. To celebrate the DVD's release, Matchbox Twenty gathered for a special screening and party for friends, family and lucky contest winners at the Avalon Hollywood. More than 1,000 people were on hand to help the band celebrate the release, while fans across the country viewed the DVD via a One Night Only coast-to-coast cinematic premiere at 40 Regal Entertainment Group theatres.
